Sconces

I picked these blue sconces up when I was in Kansas City this past summer for 3 bucks a piece. They have been sitting in my garage begging me to give them a makeover every time I walked by.  I finally got around to it and have to say I love how they turned out!

I still haven't decided what color of candles to use, black maybe?

I also had to share some amazing pictures I caught with my new baby, I mean camera, the other day!  I had been sick with the flu and was up eariler than usual.  As I got up and walked past my window the view of the sun rising over the mountains stopped me dead in my tracks!

It was just what I needed to see, I even teared up thinking of all the beauty my Heavenly Father has blessed my life with!  I get so caught up in daily routines, I forget to stop and look at the beauty all around me.

This is right outside my door!  And blessings are abundant inside my door!
I am linking my sconces up to Kimbas DIY party!

You never cease to amaze me! Your house is so beautiful, and you have such an eye for finding things that you can re-do to look great. I'm glad you're feeling better!!

I'm new to your (plural) blog and love it! Those sconces look great! I particularly like the wall color -- I am in the middle of painting my dining area a similar color and it's nice to see how well the sconces stand out against it. Perfect!

Love the sconces! Is it bad that I actually liked the blue color, and you called it repulsing?? :)

I honestly liked the bluish silver color too but the white is so fresh and looks great against your wall color.
What room are these in? That would probably help with the candle color. If they are anywhere near your zebra chair, black would be perfect.
I seriously miss NM's "enchanting" sunsets...and also its thunder/lightening storms. Gorgeous! Miss you!!!
