I am so excited to show ya'll Emmy's room!!!! When I get an idea in my crazy brain, it is all I can think about until it has come to pass!:)
I have to admit though, when we got the first coat of this blue up on the wall, I was freaking out a little bit.
But I knew once all the elements came together it would all work out.
Now Miss Emmy has her very own big girl room!
A room that Mommy doesn't want to leave because she is in love!
With the sweet little girl who abides there,
And, the way It makes her feel happy and childlike when inside.
I could have never pulled this off without the help of my friend Amber, who I called 100 times a day to bounce my insane ideas off of,
And Vinyl Silhouettes, for their amazing custom vinyl!
And a sweet hubby, who I know secretly thinks my ideas may be a little over the top, but goes along with every single one!
I couldn't be happier with the outcome!
Now on to other daughters room!:)
And because I love before and afters, here is a picture of the room before.
I am linking this post to my friend Jen's weekend wrap up party at Tatertots and Jello
To Wendy's Frugal Friday Party over at The Shabby Nest
And to Kimba's DIY party over at A Soft Place To Land
WOW sista! The room is FANTASTIC and I am in LOVE with the photos of you and Emmy. They belong in a magazine!

Wow, what a dramatic transformation! Love that bold color choice, love the chalkboard and mirrors, fabulous....
ReplyDeleteOh Wow, is all I can say! It is truly delightful and beautiful and full of femininity! You both look so cute having a tea party together.
ReplyDeleteLoved all the pics of your two, they were very sweet! Mommy you outdid yourself!! When my daughter was lil we used to redo her room every summer just for something fun to do.
We didn't always repaint, but we would do some things to make a major change in there. New bedspreads and curtains, change the furniture around. We always had so much fun doing it! and she loved it! Which I am sure you lil one does too! She is a cutie by the way, just like her Mommy!
Have a great weekend hon,
Blessings, Nellie
I think you did a great job, it looks so cute. Both of you look awesome in there !
ReplyDeleteThis is the COOLEST little girl's ever! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I love the colors that you chose. Very bold and girly!
ReplyDeleteVery Big Girl room! Adorable. I know what you mean about freaking out when you painted the blue. I change rooms often with paint. But the time I painted my bedroom red AND it took like 4 coats.. I was near tears with fear. I hated it, but was exhausted and didn't want to paint it again. But when I put everything back in, hung drapes, etc. It was wonderful. I think when you're focusing on just the walls.... its scarey.
ReplyDeletewonderful! great colors!

Wow, love the blue. Funny thing my daughters room is almost exactly the same. Tiffany blue walls, black and white damask bed spread with hot pink sheets and pillows. And did I mention two chandalier vinyls on the wall. You have excellent taste! And yes first coat of blue I was freaking out myself.

ReplyDeleteI can totally understand why you would have freaked out a little about the blue, but it ended up looking amazing! I have three boys so I don't get to decorate rooms like this ... it looks like it's so much fun! Great job.
ReplyDeleteMy teenage daughter saw the color of the walls and said that was the color she wanted. WOuld you care to share the color and who carries it. We have decided to redo my DD room for her b-day. Thanks for your inspiration
